Hi friends,

It's been to long. I hope you're doing well!

I have started a new challenge for myself. 

I used to write poetry all the time and it's been several years since I've been at it.

I came across a poetry challenge that kind of helps you get your creative juices flowing by giving you a few different ideas to write about each day.

I know I'm a little rusty and everything may not turn out as epic or beautiful as I hope, but I'm at least going to try! :)

The start of my newest adventure...poetry...who knew! :)

Here's a little bit of what I wrote today:

I have known a heavy hand 

and I have known a gentle man.

I have seen a flower bloom

and I have watched a soul wane.

I have heard a child's laugh

and I have heard my father's cry.

And I have loved.

And I have felt.

And I have lived.
